Hi Nicola and thanks for your request
Please can you make an introduction to your team and a basic overview of how and where the samples requested will be used.
If successfully chosen you will be required to share progress with images and testimonial during the development and also once the build is completed with images from the heat / finals dependent on your teams progress. Are you happy to do this?
These photos and copy will then be used by Bulgin for marketing activities across our website and social media.
Thanks!

404 Engineering consists a team of 5 members ranging from seniors in high school to first year college students. The team will be competing in the MATE 2020 competition at the highest level. Every year we create an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that is capable of going underwater and completing the tasks given to us by MATE. We have a mix of members with some who have been competing for 7 years and a new member who has never competed before.
Our team has looked at the available Bulgin samples and decided upon using a few items from the 900 series and 400 series buccaneer power range of environmentally sealed connectors. In the 900 series we have chosen the PX0941/03/P, PX0921/03/P, and the PX0911/03/S in order to make a proper connection from our power supply to our ROV. We feel these connectors will ensure greater safety for everyone involved by helping to make sure that we do not cause a short circuit at our connection points.Within the 400 series we have chosen the PX0401/014/4S and the PX0400/001/4P connectors. We chose these connectors to be used with our Micro ROV so that it can be safely detached, and we are currently looking at using these connectors to add modular payloads to our ROV.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you can assist us with the parts needed to make our build more successful. If successfully selected, we will share progress with images and testimonial during the development of our ROV. Once the build is completed, we will submit images of the ROV at the MATE 2020 International competition.
Thank you
Glen Lewis
CEO 404 Engineering
(Affiliated with North Paulding Robotics)RGSEA consists of a team of roughly 15 members from Aberdeen ranging from the age of 15-17. The team will be competing in the MATE 2020 competition at RANGER level in Scotland with aspirations of competing at the international event at Villanova University in June 2020. We are especially interested in Bulgin products as we are using an onboard watertight tube to house all of our electronics. This means one of our largest design problems is the issue of how to connect the onboard electronics to the offshore control. This is why we want to use Bulgin connectors, as they provide a reliable watertight seal for running our wires into the tube.
Our team has looked at the products Bulgin produce and decided upon using a few items from the 4000 series Buccaneer power range of environmentally sealed connectors and the 6000 series Buccaneer data range.
4000 Series – Power- PXP4010/02S/6570 – 2pcs
- PXP4013/02P – 2pcs
- PXP4088/0507 – 1pcs
- PXP 4089/BL – 1pcs
6000 Series – Ethernet(Data)
- PXP6034/B – 4pcs
- PXP6033/TP – 4pcs
We would be happy to share progress with images and testimonials during the development of our ROV. We will also send a completed technical document and folder of images once the project build is complete. We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you can help us achieve our goals using your parts.

MATE Student Sample Requests:
The AFE Advanced ROV Team is a group of homeschooled students ranging from 6th to 11th grade who have a talent and passion for electronics, engineering and/or marine sciences. We are building an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to compete in the Ranger division of the Monterey MATE 2020 Competition. We hope to then advance to the international competition in Pennsylvania. This will be our third consecutive year competing at MATE.
Last year one of the major challenges our team faced was waterproofing the connections from the electronics capsule located beneath the surface to the control center onshore. We believe the Bulgin connectors will help assure reliable watertight seal between the challenging environments.
After viewing the available products we have decided to get connectors from the Standard Series Ethernet and the Standard Series USB.
Standard Series Ethernet:
•PX0834/A three
•PX0893 three
•PX0777/3POLE/04/OR six
Standard Series USB
•PX0733 six
•PX0835 three
•PX0841/AB/3M00 one
If selected, we will happily send images of our process along our technical documentation. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for this amazing opportunityThank you,
Stephanie L’Heureux

Hello,
This is a request from the Jesuit High School robotics team. We appreciate the support and have been engaged with Luke Hulley with our competition ROV last season.
This year, we are making improvements with our ethernet connector and have done an initial POC checkout of the part below. We are not integrating into our production ROV and would like to request additional samples for our test bench and development ROV.
Thanks,
Cheryl Kiyama
