With the organisers of MATE International ROV Competition putting pressure on teams competing to create smaller ROVs year-on-year, Jesuit Robotics Team of Sacramento, California, USA, needed smaller connectors that would be waterproof, robust and reliable yet allowed easy assembly and disconnection.
